Dedicated loyalty platforms typically run ₹1,000–8,000+ per month depending on customers, locations, and features — often priced per location. The product is usually polished, set up in a day.

And the deeper cost: a SaaS loyalty tool gives every business the same loyalty program. If your workflow is unusual — and the businesses that benefit most from loyalty automation usually are unusual — you spend your subscription bending your process to fit their software.
Route 3: Building your own
This is what PiiPharma did. Their “loyalty program” wasn’t coffee punch cards — it was retailer cashback: pharmacy shops collect QR-coded coupons from product boxes, claims need photo proof and duplicate detection, and payouts go out via UPI bank transfer. No SaaS product matches that workflow.

Which route should you take?
Honest decision rules:
- Single location, standard punch-card loyalty, just testing the idea → free tool. Don’t pay anyone, including me.
- Standard loyalty, multiple locations, you’re fine renting → SaaS, but do the 3-year math against a custom quote before signing.
- Your workflow doesn’t fit the templates — B2B cashback, claim verification, custom payouts, integration with how your business actually runs → custom build. The SaaS subscriptions you’d stack to approximate it usually cost more within two years, and you still wouldn’t own your data.
